Adding to the cultural vibrancy of the village, the famous Bonbibi festival takes place here, attracting visitors from far and wide. This annual festival is a grand celebration of the village's deep-rooted traditions and beliefs, honoring the goddess Bonbibi, who is revered as the protector of the Sundarbans. This cottage is led by a woman and embracing its minority community, offers a unique and immersive experience for visitors. From silent boat trips through the mystical Mangrove Forest to encounters with crocodiles and dolphins, bird watching, and the grandeur of the Bonbibi festival, this village is a treasure trove of cultural and natural wonders waiting to be explored.
Eco-Cottage Food Services:
Basic Bengali items, noodles, different types of vegetables. Meals could be added with BDT 500 taka per person for three times a day.
Breakfast: Rice, vegetables, eggs, daal (BDT 100)
Lunch: Rice, local fish, two types of bhorta, vegetables (BDT 250)
Dinner: Parota, chicken curry, daal bhuna, tomato chutney. (BDT 250) or BBQ with double price.
