The Alibanda Ecotourism Center, situated in the easternmost part of the Sundarbans under the Sharankhola Range, offers a gateway to one of the most accessible regions of this vast mangrove forest, especially for visitors from the Barishal Division. It takes about an hour by engine boat from the Sharankhola Range office area to reach the center, making it a convenient starting point for exploring the Sundarbans, particularly for overnight tourists heading to the Katka and Kachikhali sites.

The recently center is equipped with a range of facilities designed to enhance the visitor experience while promoting sustainable tourism. Upon arrival, visitors can dock at the center's jetty. Then they walk along the elevated foot trail which offers a safe and immersive way to explore the mangroves, allowing visitors to appreciate the region's unique flora, including the pure Sundri stands, which are vital to the Sundarbans' ecosystem.

The Alibanda Ecotourism Center also features a watchtower that provides panoramic views of the surrounding forest and the scenic Bhola River, perfect for birdwatching and photography. The deer enclosure offers a closer look at some of the local wildlife, adding to the educational experience. Additionally, the center includes public toilets, rest areas, and a souvenir shop where visitors can purchase mementos of their visit.
